Pam and my mom went to go do some pottery on Saturday. My mom used Pam as a model to take pictures. When you make pots you have to go through many steps. She now has tons of pots that are totally awesome. Here is the process and some of the finished pots.

Step one: Start with a lump of clay.

Step two: Mold the clay into potato shapes. You should also beat out the air...

Step three: Pam is modeling the centering technique. She is spinning the wheel and pushing the clay until it is centered and ready to be molded.

Step four: After centering the piece you drill and shape the clay until it is the shape you think it was meant to be. (Sorry this is sideways!)

Step five: Take the piece off the wheel and set it out to dry for about a week.

Step six: Glaze the pot and then wait a week for it to be fired.

Step seven: Enjoy the pottery!
